Talented Nigerian gospel singer, Nikki Laoye has started a campaign for a scoliosis victim, who urgently needs two surgeries in the United Kingdom to stop her case from causing more complications.The victim, Kelechi Uhegwu is in need of N15 million (about £47,000) for the major surgeries to save her life and enable her walk again. Kelechi, a graduate of University of Lagos and a self employed make up artiste, was diagnosed with paralytic scoliosis at the age of one.According to information made available to Nigeriafilms.com, if the surgeries are not carried out promptly, the ailment could lead to lung and heart failures.To this effect, Nikki Laoye, with help from stars like Funke Kuti, Yemi Alade, Dipp, Xblaze, Tola (CEO, PraiseWorld Radio), MC IceWater of EkoFM, DJ A'Cube, Charles Granville, ONOS and many mor, has come up with the '5K For Kelechi' campaign. This is an initiative of the singer's 'Angel 4 Life Foundation', which also earlier started the '#HelpKelechiWalk' campaign.Kind-hearted members of the public have been urged to generously donate for this cause.
