Adaorah Ukoh Raises Voice Against Domestic Violence

Few weeks after allegedly dumping her matrimonial home over domestic fight, Nollywood actress Adaorah Ukoh returned to social media with different types of passive tweets. Three months after the fight, Adaorah came out clear today to hit the nail on the head, categorically describing the behavioral pattern of abusive men. With a first hand experience, disclosed that they look like the best lovers, but quick to hit a woman, and she vehemently advised fellow ladies to quit when such things start occurring.

She wrote, “ABUSIVE MEN... Tend to look like best Lovers...Quick to Hit a woman and BEG with dier LIFE, Never 2do it again. LEAVE....STOP DOMESTIC VIOLENCE NOW. The Signs r always der buh we sometimes take it 4 Love and stay. LEAVE ALIVE WHILE U CAN.”

Biola Ige Denies Bleaching Her Skin

Nollywood actress Biola Ige was flown to India to be treated of a thyroid related condition and she has been able to tell her near death experience and the death of her mother , Mrs. Mary Ige ,months after her return from India, however, she has a change in the colour of her skin which has raised questions that she is bleaching

She denied bleaching her skin : “I am naturally fair. I have never been dark. I am just taking care of my skin. After the radiation, my skin came back to normal. I am not using any bleaching cream. I am using Vitamin E oil and sweet almond oil, I am not bleaching.”

When asked if she was in a relationship: “A lot of things have happened, anyway that was in the past. I am not dating now. I have grown over the years and realized that most men want to just get in-between your legs. The basic things of life are not things money can buy. I have chosen to be on my own and remain focused. If the right man comes and he is truly ready to date and not just to have fun, I will have a rethink.

She has a criteria for her idea man: “Is there even an ideal man really? If I say this person is my ideal man and the person does not like you, what will you do? He must be intelligent and God fearing.

Segun Arinze Denies Begging For Alms From The Presidency

Some Nollywood celebrities visited Aso Rock some days ago and it was reported that they went to beg for money from the presidency when Kabat Esosa lashed them, however, Seun Arinze has explained that they all went to the Villa with their own money.
Kabat Esosa had said ‘One question I think begs an answer from them is; what was the reason and value of the Presidential visit? How have their visit added anything to the hue and cry in the country in respect of security, unemployment etc.‘

Segun Arinze now have to reply him “I think it’s so unfair for anyone to criticise AGN for paying a courtesy visit to President Goodluck Jonathan. We are an Association in Nollywood and our visit was to discuss issues as it affects our Guild and the industry in general. Everybody transported themselves to and fro.

We didn’t go begging for alms. Pls do read Madam President Ibinabo Fiberisma’s speech which has been sent by mail to you. Kabat’s statement was totally uncalled for. We are very apolitical. We have a right to visit GEJ after all he’s the president of the federal Republic of Nigeria,’ Segun began.

Chyke Bryan who is the president of screen writers guild is down with kidney problem. What have the members of that guild of whom Kabat is also a member done to raise money for his treatment? They should stop poking their noses in other people’s business. And focus on how to move the industry forward instead of bickering and sulking like Children. Making a mountain out of a molehill.’

ODUAH BOWS OUT, THANKS JONATHAN, NIGERIANS * URGES CONTINUITY OF TRANSFORMATION IN THE SECTOR

Immediate past MInister of Aviation, Princess Stella Adaeze Oduah has commended President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, workers and Stakeholders in the aviation sector for the opportunity to serve the country and for the tremendous support given to her during her two and a half years' stewardship as Aviation Minister.

Oduah made the commendation shortly after officially handing over to the Surpervising Minister and current Minister of State, Trade and Investment, Dr Samuel Ortom, JP.

" It was a great privilege to be chosen from amongst over 160 million Nigerians to serve in the Federal Cabinate. My profound gratitude goes to Mr President who provided me with this rare privilege. I also want to thank him for all the support he acorded me to pursue his Transformation Agenda in the Aviation Sector. I equally wish to thank my personal aides, aviator sector workers and stakeholders who partnered with me to realize our Vision and Mission in the sector", Oduah declared, continuing:

"During my tenure, we gave our best to institute reforms in line with Mr President's Transformation Agenda. We produced the Aviation sector Master plan and implementation Road Map. Using the Master Plan and Road Map, we were able to reconstruct and remodel all 22 federally-owned airports across the country. We also commenced the construction of five new international terminals in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Enugu and Kano.

"We also introduced the Perishable Cargo and Aerotrolis concepts to drive the growth and development of not only the aviation sector, but also the Nigerian economy. Construction of the cargo terminals has commenced across 16 airports across the country while modalities have been completed to kick-start the Aerotropolis project. We also carried out institutional reforms, built the capacity of NCAT to produce enough professionals both for the local aviation market and for export.

"My greatest satisfaction comes from our accomplishments in the area of safety and security of the Nigerian airspace. We were able to procure, update and install safety-critical infrastructure that has repositioned the sector to achieve our objective of zero-accident rate in the Nigerian airspace.

The former Minister said the reforms instituted during her tenure will no doubt propel the sector to greater accomplishments and expressed the hope that her successor will sustain the tempo and momentum of transformation in the interest of the sector, the air travelers and the Nigerian economy.

Jonathan Suspends CBN Gov Sanusi, Appoints Sarah Alade As Acting Gov

Early on February 20, 2014 President Goodluck Jonathan’s Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, Reuben Abati disclosed that President Goodluck Jonathan has suspended the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mallam Sanusi Lamido and appoints Dr. Sarah Alade as Acting Governor.

Having taken special notice of reports of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria and other investigating bodies, which indicate clearly that Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi’s tenure has been characterized by various acts of financial recklessness and misconduct which are inconsistent with the administration’s vision of a Central Bank propelled by the core values of focused economic management, prudence, transparency and financial discipline;

Being also deeply concerned about far-reaching irregularities under Mallam Sanusi’s watch which have distracted the Central Bank away from the pursuit and achievement of its statutory mandate; and

Being determined to urgently re-position the Central Bank of Nigeria for greater efficiency, respect for due process and accountability, President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has ordered the immediate suspension of Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi from the Office of Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

President Jonathan has further ordered that Mallam Sanusi should hand over to the most senior Deputy Governor of the CBN, Dr Sarah Alade who will serve as Acting Governor until the conclusion of on-going investigations into breaches of enabling laws, due process and mandate of the CBN.

The President expects that as Acting Governor of the Central Bank, Dr. Alade will focus on the core mandate of the Bank and conduct its affairs with greater professionalism, prudence and propriety to restore domestic and international confidence in the country’s apex bank.

The Federal Government of Nigeria reassures all stakeholders in Nigeria’s financial and monetary system that this decision has been taken in absolute good faith, in the overall interest of the Nigerian economy and in accordance with our laws and due process.
